Stamford Animal Rescue's mission is to provide medical care, food, emergency shelter and hospice care to pets whose guardians are struggling with economic hardship.

As head of the High Ridge Merchants Association, Peter was integral in working with the Department of Agriculture to host the largest Farmers' Market in the State. Each year, from May through August, on Wednesdays and Sundays, the Center's parking lot is transformed into a fresh produce mecca with representation from the State's leading produce growers.

"What makes High Ridge Center different and the busiest shopping center in Stamford is the community involvement. We're practicing it rather than preaching it," says Peter Suchy. This is evident by the collaboration between Peter Suchy as President of the High Ridge Merchants Association and property manager Phil Molstre of Samuel Lotstein Realty. Together they have made it possible for the Stamford Police Department to operate a substation, rent-free in the retail space right next door to Peter Suchy Jewelers.

Located a few miles north of High Ridge Center, Peter Suchy Jewelers supports Bartlett Arboretum and Gardens as a member and contributor to their events and programs.

Peter Suchy is proud to be strong supporter of OPIN. In addition to donating food and money, Peter has spearheaded pet adoption day in High Ridge Center, where 12 dogs and 11 cats have found forever homes.
