Wonderful early Old Mine cut diamond engagement ring. Circa 1840 to 1850 with a unique asymmetrical shape. The center stone is a .99ct old mine GIA Certified diamond. It has a faint brown color to it, making it a truly special stone. The diamond looks larger due to its 44% depth and 7.03mm table. The diamond has a halo of round brilliant cut diamonds and is further accented by the round brilliant cut diamonds that run along both sides of the shank. The setting was created specifically for this stone in the Peter Suchy Workshop
