Genuine 1950's undyed, untreated Japanese Akoya cultured pearl necklace with square 4mm genuine black Onyx spacers. The pearls are graduated from 7 to 10mm. The color is silvery white with a natural light cream overtone. Few to moderate blemishes. Good luster and very well matched. They are freshly strung to a 14k white gold fish hook catch. In the 1950's undyed pearls were available and were sometimes strung with black Onyx. This necklace shows a beautiful contrast between the Onyx and the pearls. 48 square black Onyx beads 4 x 4mm. 49 graduated Akoya pearls 10 x 7mm. Stamped: 14k. 47.9 grams. Length: 25 inches.
